A Life-Changing Experience

As someone who has been deeply affected by a friend's suicide, I was anxious to read Susan Rushing's book, "Suicide from the Other Side." I woke up at 5am this morning so that I could read it uninterrupted by the world. You wouldn't think that a few hours and 160 or so pages would or could change your life. You would be wrong. From the first page to the last, it is a very easy read about a very hard topic. Susan's writing style allowed me to flow through heart-wrenching emotion and legalities and universal spiritual truths as if I were simply breathing. As a matter of fact, the entire book was like a breathing meditation for me as I inhaled the concepts and the big, big love that she was offering and I exhaled my archaic belief systems and the guilt and anger that I have held for years in relation to my good friend taking her own life. This book is written so that anyone can understand it and grow from it. Susan's style of information presentation is straightforward, heartfelt, oftentimes humorous and always with love. It's like she's your best friend sitting across the table from you, holding your hand, and telling you like it is. The final sections about energy and healing were a revelation for me, and I intend to read and re-read them many times so that I can adapt the concepts into my daily life. If you have been affected by suicide in any way in your life, you should read this book. If you have ever thought about suicide, even for a second, you should read this book. I actually think everyone should read this book. It will change your life.

A Powerful Must-Read

Susan delivers a powerful, healing message, and does it with grace, humor and compassion. Her conversational style of writing makes a difficult topic much easier to digest. Truly a must-read for anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide, but the insights Susan offers here are also invaluable for ANYBODY interested in healing themselves and healing their relationships.

Awesome

This book challenges the way you see the subject matter. I was raised Catholic and have been taught to think a certain way about this. You have to keep an open mind, it will challenge your comfort zone.
